Banbury Museum

Building projects Heritage

Banbury Museum, sited in the town’s Castle Quay shopping centre and trust operated since 2013, has ambitions to grow and diversify its audiences and strengthen its sustainability. This project, supported by the Arts Council’s Resilience Fund, has enabled the museum to better understand existing and potential audiences, what they want from their museum and identify how best to respond in development terms.

Working with the trust, museum staff and MUSE research, the new audience-led development plan is now complete; it describes three modest scale capital projects to maximise the Museum’s potential for realisation over the next three years. Fundraising is now underway.
